Nancy Gardner is a renowned North American jeweler based in Mendocino, California. Nancy obtained her training in design at the University of New York and took courses in goldsmithing with master craftsmen in Italy and Portugal. She participated in several international exhibitions and is currently dedicated to teaching jewelery both in Europe and in the USA.
In this workshop she will guide the students in the execution of a silver pendant with mother-of-pearl application. Mother-of-pearl comes from the sea and is the inner layer of the shells of many molluscs, characterized by a strong pearly sheen and iridescence, much appreciated in jewellery.

Nancy Gardner é uma conceituada joalheira norte americana, radicada em Mendocino, Califórnia. Nancy obteve a sua formação em design na Universidade de Nova Iorque e efetuou vários cursos e formações em ourivesaria com mestres artesãos em Itália e em Portugal. Participou em várias exposições internacionais e dedica-se atualmente ao ensino de joalharia tanto na Europa como nos EUA.
Neste workshop irá orientar os alunos na execução de um pendente em prata com aplicação de madrepérola. A madrepérola provém do mar e é a camada interna das conchas de muitos moluscos, caracterizada por um forte brilho nacarado e pela iridescência, muito apreciada em joalharia.
