In this three day workshop I’ll be covering the basics of sterling silver fabrication – focus on soldering. This is a come as you are workshop ~ meaning no matter your level of experience you will learn the basic skills needed to build or construct a piece of jewelry. Given the fact that my workshops are limited to 5 students each person receives the individual attention to the extent they need to be successful. The suggested project is a ring with either a cabochon cut stone (dome cut) or piece of sea glass, abalone shell, or other found pebble. Students can bring their own precious found object or I will have a few choices available. Some experience with hand tools is a plus but not required. For those with more experience I encouraged you to bring designs for that fabrication piece you’ve wanted to make but have been reluctant to try on your own. I will help you plot out the order of construction and plan the most efficient way to realize your piece. And be at your side for the challenging soldering process.

Payment is due upon registration. Email me at outlawstudio@mcn.org for more information or to sign up.

Looking forward to seeing you in the studio!
